Mash It Up

I don't pursue 'fun' so much as absurdity and wonder. FlickRandom scratched that itch. It's a web app that generates random Flickr photos. Give me the mundane! these crazy little windows, the quiet vacuum of everyday life.

Followed the links from random to flickr. An obscure image relented virtually identical security camera photos. And I don't know which is stranger -- that someone would post these photos or that I would be writing about it now.

Flickr Fun

Sooo. Here's something for the project. Our resident technophobe and most avid reader will soon be blogging about her weekly favorites on our site. Yaay Earlene! We needed a mug shot for the blog, so here's one taken this morning and uploaded to Flickr:


Did lots of stuff today. Set up a flickr account. Joined a group and geotagged. And posted here!

Google Apps

I don't want to do a commercial, here, but I will say it's good Google is making the web more accessible. Even if I don't have an immediate need for many of the applications offered, I can see their utility and appreciate that they are free. Free tools can only be a good thing.

I took the command to wantonly explore Google's offerings as an excuse to look up a friend's music recommendation on YouTube. I got sentimental thinking he had me pegged, once again: listen to Wilco.
